Fall in love this autumn

The Oasis legend, Liam Gallagher aka William John Paul will perform for the first time in Romania at the Fall in Love Festival. Being an idol of many generations, Liam became an international music icon as the front figure of the British rock band Oasis, one of the most loved bands of the 90s, during the glorious age dominated by Brit-pop. During its career, from 1991 to 2000, the band released several iconic hits, like: Wonderwall”, “Supersonic” or “Don’t look back in anger”, music pieces which headed for tens of days the music charts from various countries and received an impressive number of nominations and awards coming from BRIT, MTV, Grammy or New Musical Express. After the bands breakup, Liam established Beady Eye, a band active until 2014 and announced the release of his solo debut single „Wall of Glass” (2017) and his second solo single „Chinatown” (2017), both greeted with positive reactions and followed by performances at some of the most important international festivals, like: Rock am Ring, Pinkpop Festival, Exit festival or Lollapalooza Festival (USA).
His debut solo album, entitled „As You Were”, hit the market during the same year and proved to be a critical and commercial success, topping the UK Album Chart and being certified Platinum. The material was described as an album where the profound and meaningful lyrics meet the unique voice of Liam thus creating an astonishing effect and proving that the former Oasis half remains as inspired and talented as always. Besides the „bad boy” trademark and energy, Liam will perform at Fall in Love not only new songs like „Wall of Glass”, „For what it’s Worth” or „Paper Crown” but also other surprises picked from the Oasis repertoire.

Disclosure, one of the revelations of the international electronic scene, are a well-known English electronic music duo, founded in 2010 by Lawrence brothers (Guy and Howard). The brothers started de-constructing and copying the music that Guy had heard at gigs in a room above their father's auction house and then making music in the same room in a style they refer to as „electronic house music with a pop structure”, uploading it to Myspace. This got them an early record deal and a UK tour, mixing live music gigs with occasional DJ sets. Disclosure picked up their first significant national radio support upon the release of the „Tenderly”/ „Flow” single in 2012 and maintained momentum in 2013, as they were voted into the BBC Radio 1xtra „Hot Ten For 2013” and scored two consecutive top 10 hit singles in „White Noise” (no. two) and „You & Me” (no. 10).
Their debut album, „Settle”, which hit the markets in 2013 was met with commercial and critical success, debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chart, charting in many countries across Europe and Australia, and receiving four stars from The Guardian and a 9.1 score on Pitchfork. Also, it was nominated as the best Dance/ Electronic album at Grammy Awards in 2014, thus becoming one of the most successful debuts of the music English scene. This success was closely followed by another one: their second material, „Caracal”, release in 2015 was nominated as well as the best Dance/ Electronic album at the 2016 Grammy Awards. These achievements ensured a fast pace ascent for Disclosure, thus becoming one of the most asked for bands from the music industry.

Underworld, the British duo Karl Hyde and Rick Smith, have been one of the most pioneering and influential electronic acts in the world for more than twenty years. In that time, their music has transcended club dancefloors and provided soundtracks to everything from iconic movies (Trainspotting) to the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games (for which they were handpicked as musical directors).
Rick and Karl met in Cardiff in the early ’80s and spent the following decade working together in a succession of bands with varying levels of success. After a brace of singles released under the name „Lemon Interrupt”, the reinvigorated Underworld released „Mmm Skyscraper… I Love You” - a thirteen-minute blueprint for their future. Sounding unlike any other electronic record of that era (or since), the 1992 single fitted Karl’s hallucinogenic monologue to a rolling, relentless rhythm track. The dynamic may have been that of a band; the execution was something far more otherworldly. The album that followed – 1994’s hugely acclaimed „dubnobasswithmyheadman” built a formidable live reputation for Underworld.
Released early in 1996, Underworld’s second album, „Second Toughest In The Infants”, saw the band push further into the unknown to create what is unarguably one of the UK’s greatest electronic records – an utterly unique eight track sonic journey through techno, drum’n’bass, minimalist composition and ambient music. Upon release, the media elevated the band to something close to national treasure status („A British band to rank alongside Pet Shop Boys, New Order… hell, Pink Floyd. If all acid house had ever left us was this, it would surely be justification enough” The Face).

Named after a South African football team (Kaizer Chiefs F.C.), the indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs was established in UK in 2013. Primarily inspired by new wave and punk rock music of the late 1970s and 1980s, the band have released seven albums, one EP, one compilation album and numerous singles, including the number one hit song "Ruby". Their debut album, „Employment'' (2005), was awarded 3 Brit Awards (including one for the „Best British Group”) an NME award for the „Best Album” category and was sold in over 3 million pieces. Being greeted with enthusiasm by both critics and fans, the album was described as „thrilling from beginning to end” and „quintessentially British, without pretension and most importantly, a whole lot of fun” and reached number two on the UK albums chart being certified five times platinum. Since its establishment, the band has been continuously exploring new musical horizons and paths of forms of artistic expression. From indie rock, Kaiser Chiefs, passed to electro-pop, „Parachute” being the song which marked this passage, followed by „Stay Together”. Since their start, the band brought to life over 30 singles, among which the well-known hit „Ruby” (2007) and went on the stage of some of the largest stadium concerts and international music festivals, like: Hurricane Festival, Southside Festival, Rock Werchter, Pinkpop Festival or Terres Rouges Festival just to name a few of them.

Posdnuos, Trugoy and Maseo, the three who formed the group in high school, caught the attention of producer Prince Paul with a demo tape of the song „Plug Tunin'”. With its playful wordplay, innovative sampling, and witty skits, the band's debut album, „3 Feet High and Rising”, has been called „a hip hop masterpiece” and was the band's biggest commercial success to date. The Source magazine listed the album as one of their top 100 hip hop albums of all time, stating that „its true genius is rarely understood”. In 2006, the group won a Grammy for their collaboration with Gorillaz on the single „Feel Good Inc”. In 2011, the group earned Top 5 rankings on both NPR and Soul Train’s year end „Best of” lists. In 2016, De La Soul launched a new album entitled „And The Anonymous Nobody”.
Thought their career, the trio have gained respect within and outside the hip hop community with their contributions to rap, as well as jazz, funk, soul and alternative genres. Not only are their musical innovations acclaimed and respected worldwide, but they paved a path for many alternative rap groups to come after them.
